The Circular Investment Readiness Network is inviting members to join
CircularInvest and DEFINITE-CCRI are launching the Circular Investment Readiness Network, a Europe-wide community of practice to help circular economy projects overcome development and funding challenges. The initiative will officially kick off online on the 21st of November, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.
The EU is home to numerous circular economy initiatives that have the potential to cut carbon emissions, reduce waste and boost economic resilience. However, projects and stakeholders that could support each other often miss vital opportunities for collaboration. The Circular Investment Readiness Network aims to bridge this gap by bringing cities, project owners, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, investors and circular organisations together to exchange knowledge, develop the know-how, and be part of a collaborative space.
Who are we?
CircularInvest and DEFINITE-CCRI are two initiatives funded under the Horizon Europe Programme to aid the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative in promoting the circular economy in Europe. Through Project Development Assistance (PDA) services, they support circular economy projects in developing further and securing investments. These efforts contribute to key European strategies like the European Green Deal, the Circular Economy Action Plan and the bio-economy strategy.
Who is our target audience?
In addition to project owners in CircularInvest and DEFINITE-CCRI’s selected projects, the community of practice welcomes local and regional governments, start-ups, SMEs, investors, PDA service providers and circular project promoters from the EU and associated countries.
What can you expect?
The Circular Investment Readiness Network is crucial to both CircularInvest and DEFINITE-CCRI, ensuring their enduring impact on European cities and regions. Through collective learning, the community of practice will be able to develop bankable, high-impact and low-risk circular projects while creating lasting relationships.
The Circular Investment Readiness Network will feature ten interactive sessions from November 2023 to November 2026, with topics such as: getting started with circular projects, securing funding, measuring impact, scaling up and more. Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch their projects and receive real-time feedback from a jury of circular economy experts and investors.
CircularInvest and DEFINITE-CCRI invite the European circular economy community to participate in this collaborative network where cities and organisations can build successful partnerships and strengthen their projects together.
