CIRN - Session 6

CIRN Session 6 – Cities enabling local start-ups

Circular start-ups face specific challenges. They often operate with new business models that do not fit existing policy or finance frameworks. Cities and local governments can play a central role in helping these ventures take root.

This session brings together city officers, start-ups and incubators to explore the local conditions that enable circular business innovation. We will hear from both public authorities and entrepreneurs about what works, what is missing and what can be done next.

Objectives
• Share practical examples of city-level support
• Hear directly from circular entrepreneurs
• Identify concrete tools for cities to strengthen their local circular ecosystem
